What are your office hours and can I only access my goods during this time?

For your convenience, the office is open from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Saturday. Closed on Sundays and holidays. However, personalized security cards allow you access to your storage unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Is there a minimum time period I must sign a lease for?

Yes. One month. Our contract terms are month-to-month, so you’re never tied down to a long term commitment. As a courtesy, we ask that you provide us with at least 7 days notice of your intent to vacate your unit.

How and when do I pay?

Your rent is due on or before the date set forth in your contract. You may pay by cash, cheque, email transfer, Interac, Amex, Visa, or Mastercard. We accept post-dated cheques and credit card authorizations to facilitate your timely payment. If you would like to prepay your rent for an extended period, please ask about our special discounts.

What about insurance for my stored goods?

You are responsible for insurance coverage for your belongings while they are in storage.

Are there items which I cannot store?

Yes. Storing food, perishables, animals, dangerous goods ( such as gasoline, propane, solvents, paint, chemicals etc. ) and firearms is prohibited. Any fuels must be drained from vehicles or appliances prior to storage for the safety and comfort of all our customers. If you are unsure of what goods are acceptable to store, please ask us.

How Secure are my belongings?

Sierra Self Storage maintains 24 hour security through state-of-the-art digital video surveillance equipment integrated with our advanced computer systems. Strategically positioned security cameras record all activity, providing you with peace of mind, knowing your belongings are in a safe and secure environment. We perform daily walks arounds of the facility to identify any irregularities.

Do you sell packing supplies?

Our facility sells a full range of boxes and moving supplies. We have boxes of all sizes, including specialty boxes for dishes, wardrobe boxes, and mirror/picture boxes. We also carry wrapping paper, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, furniture pads, mattress and sofa bags, as well as packing tape.

Are there carts and dollies available for use?

Yes. Our facility has moving carts and dollies available to make moving your belongings easier.
